In the idyllic Wendlanddorf Dangenstorf, the family Rieger found a new home in a classic, Lower-Saxony half-timbered house in 1985.

Uwe Rieger early discovered his love of gastronomy and earned his first spurs at the Atlantic Hotel in Hamburg.
Gaby Rieger is the good spirit of the house. As a native Palatine she lived in the heart of the vineyards near the Nahe. Her great interest in wine and gastronomy prompted her to become the acknowledged adviser of German wine. This extraordinary knowledge transforms them with attention to detail.
Sven Rieger grew up in the parental enterprise and also early discovered that this would determine his further way. In the district of Lüneburg in 1999, he passed his examinations as a chef in the district of Lüneburg. Since January 1, 2007, he has been running the Landgasthof with his wife Manuela.

They also attach great importance to environmental protection, and in 2009, a “Dachs” combined heat and power plant with the most modern cogeneration was installed. Hot food is served daily from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday to Sunday at 11 am to 2 pm.
